Police Academy: The Series is an American sitcom series that was a spin-off from the Police Academy series of films. Michael Winslow was the only actor from the Police Academy films to have a recurring role on the show, although several of the film’s cast made occasional guest appearances.

A group of people is secretly dealing with glitches that cause video game characters to manifest as energy beings into the real world that operate based on the coding of their affected games and thus create havoc. To stop such Glitches, these Glitch Techs, working at a local game store as a front, must use their gamer logic with their equipment to counter and win. Only then can they capture the Glitches, and proceed to fix any damage and erase any memories to prevent further panic. Now, after unexpectedly becoming the newest Glitch Techs, High Five and Miko will have to use their skills as gamers to help out.

Alan is dating Katie Monahan, a Catholic girl, which is hard for his grandmother to accept, although in every other respect Sophie is stern but loving and tolerant.

The Lerner’s have decided to return to live near their family (father Dr. Sid Lerner (Alan North, Police Squad!), hair dresser mother Ruby DeMattis (Rhoda Gemignani), Denise’s sister Sheila (Nancy Cassaro) and juvenile delinquent nephew Elvis (Giovanni Ribisi)). Denise cannot understand why anyone would move back to Philly after escaping it, Nicki Lerner cannot adjust to Philly (culture shock), Jeffrey can’t get his face out of the tv, Ruby cannot stop picking on Sheila, Dr. Sid cannot stop telling Dr. Jonathan how to be a doctor, and none of them can stop bickering.
