Moving away from the serial format of Blood Money and Skorpion, Cold Warrior was a series of eight stand-alone episodes, which saw Percival dealing with various threats to national security. He was assisted by Jo (Lucy Fleming) and Danny Quirk (Dean Harris) – the latter also reprising his role from Blood Money.

He would then take over his brother’s (private eye) business. Working with him is Johnny Betts, a young man who worked with his brother. And his main contact on the police force is Lt. Fontana, who didn’t see eye to eye with Jack when they were on the force but nevertheless, a friend.
